Groundplans

The groundplans of the hotel consists of five parts. Each of these parts will be explained below.
There has been some upgrading of the hotel; to give you an indication of all the m2: The (basic) rooms are 6 x 4m and 24m2, the renovated ones 7 x 5m and 35m2.

Groundplan part 0 groundfloor

The groundplan of the groundfloor is divided into five parts; this is part 0 which shows the main entrance and the hotel restaurant. The scale gives an indication of the sizes of the areas.

Groundplan part A groundfloor

This is part A of the groundplan, which shows the rooms situated on the groundfloor, as well as the other areas. There are 28 standard rooms number numbered 1 to 29. Room number 13 has been left out as in most hotels due to the fact, that a lot of people are superstitious and do not want to book a room with this number.

• Parking lots I and II

In front of the hotel at the main entrance is a parking lot (indicated by P) which can hold up to 60 cars. Furthermore, there are 60 places next to the banqueting entrance (see section B of the groundplan) next to the street connecting the hotel to rest of the road infrastructure of the municipality. Some parking 'overflow' is possible (max 80 places) next to the terrace (divided by a hedge), and along the 'public' road. These plots are not as well taken care of as the two main parking lots.
Next to the restaurant, there is a spacious terrace which can accommodate up to 200 people.

Groundplan part B groundfloor

Part B of the groundplan shows the 'back section' of the hotel. The largest part of this section is in use by the banqueting hall, offices and some kitchen related spaces.
The big banqueting hall can be divided into four smaller units, which each have their own equipment, facilities, doors, etc. Part 4 is the smallest one (10 x 12m; Parts 1, 2 and 3 are alike, approx. 15 x 20m). A disadvantage is that the walls separating the banqueting halls, (if divided) are foldable and rather thin; this might cause some noise nuisance.
There is a separate entrance for the banqueting guests and there is also a parking lot (indicated by P) which can hold 60 cars for the banqueting guests. These parking spaces can also be used by hotel guests or guests that are walking in for a drink or dinner. More info on this on the page banqueting.

Groundplan part C first floor section I

This section of the first floor is also divided into two parts. This is part 1 and this groundplan is called groundplan C. On this floor, there are 40 unrenovated rooms numbered 30 to 69.
Above the swimming pool and fitness there is and old section which is no longer rented out. The rooms absolutely need renovations and there are also problems with the facilities underneath the swimming pool and restaurant; the smell and safety are an issue. There are also no plans to re-use this section as this would mean a very complicated change to the construction of the building. The rooms are used to have staff stay-over, as a luggage room or as storage rooms.

Groundplan part D first floor section II

This second section of the first floor is the backside of the hotel and is much quieter. There are 20 renovated rooms numbered 110 to 130. These rooms have recently been redecorated, have gotten new sanitation system and are also a bit larger than the standard rooms. Room number 113 doesn't exist, because it is unpopular to book this room number.

Groundplan part E second floor

Groundplan E, the second floor, is just a small section, this floor does not cover the entire building. In the time when the hotel was built, high-rise buildings were not popular and the intention was to give the hotel a friendly, familiar atmosphere: therefore, most rooms are located on the groundfloor. In the old days, the hotel was situated on the outskirts of the city. Now the city is expanding around it, but luckily, there is a park next to the hotel.
The twelve standard rooms are numbered 70 - 81. Room 81 located next to room 80, is not visible on the map.
