Subsidy
As in reality there might be activities in or around your hotel which are eligible for grants or subsidies. If you think so, find out yourself on the internet which ones and how to apply for them. You can make a plan on this and write on this in your Team file in the applicable year. In some cases their might be a grant or subsidy made available within the simulation.
When a subsidy?
There is a number of activities in any hotel which might be eligible to subsidy. We leave all of this to your creativity, but especially look this up and of course this should be some kind of realistic. So check on the internet or else for opportunities. If you think you have a point, please write an application for a subsidy explaining
- which subsidy you are applying for (which fund in fact)
- what amount
- what are you going to spend it on (details please)
- what is the link with the subsidy (goals of the subsidising organisation)
- what are the expected results
- how can this be checked by the organisation providing the subsidy?
- what will be your own investment in this?
You can do so in your explanations. Check the internet for realistic ways of doing so.
Asking for subsidy might result in
- not getting the subsidy at all
- getting the amount partly granted
- getting it granted with some restrictions
- getting the subsidy without specific requirements
No direct link to profit
Of course subsidies are not meant to boost your profit, keep that in mind! Most subsidy-programs are linked to special target groups and goals like: special investments mad for the handicapped, social responsibility, nature, energy saving, internationalization etc.
