Uploading a Word file
Using a Word file can be done by making a link to the name of the file: Media:01EU-A01-wordtext.doc. Make the link using "Edit" and it will be red in the article. Be sure to give the file an exclusive name: therefore always start with the name of your competition and then your team-number. So for instance 01EU-A01-thenameyouchose.doc
Then, follow the instruction on uploading the file.
- Max 100kb (so no pictures etc.) this is rather small!
- Max. version of Word is 2003 (so bring it back to this version, no .docx)!
If all of this is done and you click the link, the platform will open fullscreen Media:01EU-A01-wordtext.doc.
Here's an example file already uploaded: Media:NL07_e-and-e-form_round3_s.doc. Check this
Pay attention: if you close the Word file you will close the whole platform, so use the back button.
You can, as anywhere, also right click on the link and save the file to your PC.
Blanks in names
If you embed a MP3, photo or something else, it is advisable not to have blanks (gaps) in the names of the files, for instance on YouTube, Flickr or Earth. Instead of blanks use underscores (_) or the minus sign (-): this is something special in the software. <no wiki> Do NOT use ' or * and & either </no wiki>. This will cause problems in the software.
