Your plans with the Hotel part two
Presenting your Management Team to Jill, Christina and your coaches. You will have to take a lot of important decisions in this year 0 (strategic choices). This will be the basis for all of the other assignments and decisions.
Situation
You just took over the management of the hotel. You already made a lot of decisions on a new hotel name, its strategy, the target groups etc. In this assignment you will visualize a few of these things. Especially the logo, your Management Team picture and slogan. And, it is a good idea to be discoverable on social media by having your own company accounts on at least two social media platforms.
Goal
Visualize your strategy in a consistent way in a logo, team picture and slogan. Create two business style, social media accounts for your hotel.
Tasks, deliverable
See your Team document, tab year 0. Fill out the section Team picture, Logo and slogan and two social media accounts.
You might see some 'locked' symbols on the tabs of your Team File: don't worry. On the tabs year 0 and tab year 1-2-3-4 you can edit in the indicated cells. Be careful in handling the file, don't mess it up!
The tabs Dashboard and Results you can never edit.
With mouse-overs in the cell in column B (black triangles) you will find more information.
- Think of an appropriate Team picture. Make the link to your strategy, so be sure that the way you present your team is in line with the chosen strategy of your hotel.
- New hotel logo: this should reflect your strategy as well: does it tell what you are doing, your image? Is it recognizable? Explain why you chose this logo in a few lines. Be sure, again, to use marketing and communication concepts. And think of IP right (copyrights): you can't just 'copy' things on the internet (this is stealing!).
- Think of a new slogan. Explain why you chose this slogan in a few lines. Be sure, again, to use marketing and communication theories.
- New hotel logo: this should reflect your strategy as well: does it tell what you are doing, your image? Is it recognizable? Explain why you chose this logo in a few lines. Be sure, again, to use marketing and communication theories. And think of IP-Copyright: you can't just 'steal' things.
- Create a Facebook (business) page, that reflects your strategy. Do a minimum of those, appropriate posts in it, make it accessible without invitation e.g.
- Create a second social media account, that reflects your strategy. Do a minimum of those, appropriate posts in it, make it accessible without invitation e.g.
- In all your communication, make the connection to your strategy, house style e.g.
