As a professional management, we strongly recommend all of you to be present at all of the scheduled moments. The are classes which we think are useful as well as 'meet your team' sessions (only with your team). These 'meet your team' time-slots are scheduled so that all members of the teams can be present: please do so. Organize in your teamcontract how you are going to organize this: look ahead at all the five weeks. Remember that you are entrepreneurs during all of the five weeks. So keep your social media, website and activities alive. This will be monitored as well. So apart from your decisions and their deadlines, you can always work on the other elements.
During week 21 you will have the next tasks
- Week 21 - Preparations
In this first week your team will demonstrate its creativity and thereby present the new hotel in a more promising strategic direction, as well as distinguishing your hotel from your competitors. Check your roster for
> Monday 22th very important: Central kick - off, followed by kick-off Go Green (module 11)

> Wednesday 09.00 - 12.00 Meet your team: work on your Team file Preparations section, strategic choices. deadline Tuesday 12.00
> Wednesday 12.00 - 13.00 Consultancy per city: use this session for questions, suggestions, help etc.
> During all of the week-weekend: a company doesn't close at certain hours: keep the communication on your hotel 'alive'
During this (short) week there is also a Go Green meeting (module 11): check your roster.
During week 22 you will have the next tasks
- Week 22 - The first year
> Tuesday at 12.00 deadline for strategic part of your Team file.
> Thursday 14.30 important Central information on year 01, results prologue
> Thursday 16.00 City meeting with your coach.
> Friday 09.00 - 12.00 Meet your team: work on your decisions, social media, plans, communications etc.
> Friday 16.00 deadline for decisions year 01.

During this week there is also a lecture on your financial assignment (part of module 12) and Go Green meeting (module 11): check your roster.

Please check this video on how to make your decisions: as we are upgrading the platform there is a few small changes. You start with your Team file and explain your decisions there. In this Team file you will find the link to your Team finances where you just fill out the numbers. So a bit different from the sequence in the video. The operational review will be made for you by the algorithms, you just make the decisions. The coaches will release these results the next year-day.

- Task 9: Wednesday 11th. May (year 02) - Day of calculations
Analyze the results, the operational costs made and the key performance indicators (KPI's) for your hotel. On this day, focus on the calculations a manager often has to make. After receiving your first results (on year 01) you need to study them, in order to decide on how to react in year 02.

- Task 10: Thursday 12th. May (year 03) - Day of Managing the Company
Managing a hotel relies heavily on the ability to communicate with customers as well as your staff, especially when "exceptional" situations arise. Expect a negative or positive event to happen this year. You as the hotel management will need to deal directly, actively and creatively with the event, as well as to take timely decisions to resolve it.

- Task 11: Friday 13th May (year 04) - Day of Promotion
On this day your team will show how to sell its services and make hotel promotions attractive through the use of internet and social media. The competition ends next Tuesday; this is the last day you can take new decisions. The final results will be determined and the teams with the most profit and that were the most creative will be awarded.

> 12.00 - 14.00 Analysis of the results; make new decisions and preparations for the 3 minutes of fame. Participation of all team members mandatory!
> 14.00 - 16.00 3 minutes city of Amstelburg and Budano together.
> 14.00 - 16.00 3 minutes city of Copenstadt and Drakovski together.

- Task 12: Tuesday the 17th. May - The final
> 09.30 - 10.30 Final results of the game.

- Task 13: Tuesday till Friday - Financial assignment
Finalizing the financial assignment will be on Friday the 20th of May: you do not have to hand-in any physical papers. You are no longer allowed to edit the files after 17.00. Do work on this assignment seriously during all of the week as this accounts for 50% of your final mark! Take care of the instructions you get from the staff teaching finances. So work in the Team finances file on the designated tabs: do not shift or change the tabs: only change the content. Be sure to use the Team finance file as a spreadsheet: so work with formula's and taken care of notation (euro signed etc).
