What is a good logo?
Choosing a logo is a strategic decision: this is not something you can change overnight. So think carefully about this choice. A logo is strongly inked to your general strategy and especially to your corporate identity and should appeal to your target groups as well as to your stakeholders. There are some issues to be covered on intellectual property (so copy right): be careful in just using an image out of a cartoon, a movie etc. You can check Google (reverse) image search by using Google search, then chose images and click on the camera next to the search box. You now can upload a logo and just get an idea on how often a picture similar to yours is used and by whom.
Check for sites like Mashable or Creativebloq for tips on logo's. You can have a look in all_concepts to see all the logo's used so far by other teams.
Think of basic things like:
- Does the logo reflect what your business stands for?
- What do people associate it with?
- What does in mean in other languages?
- Do you incorporate your hotel name or not?
- Do you incorporate your slogan or not?
- Is it not to complicated in print, on a small screen etc?
