Privacy regulations
In 2018 the European privacy regulation, GDPR General Data Protection Regulation, came into effect.
It took seven years to make it and the imperfections are clear, as the legislation is in a field that is changing
at tremendous speed. There will be lots of case-law and fine-tuning in the years to come. For sure, implications of GDPR are serious. Not only the hefty fines and the administration: a number of business processes have to be organized in a different way.
