Name of assignment
Create a Facebook page. Realise that Facebook is not just this one brand; Facebook consist of a multitude of brands and companies. The most famous ones are probably Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp and Oculus.
Situation
There is a HotelFacebook business page for the Emerald Forest Hotel. The hotel never had a determined plan in the us of any of their social media channels. The account was created by the former management, because all companies 'must' have a Facebook page. Thus, there is no content calendar or real plan as you take over the hotel. You have created a new strategy for your hotel, so now take a special look at Facebook.
Goal
Create a Facebook page for your new hotel that contributes to the new image and strategy of the hotel.
The page and content must fit into the overall new concept: in terms of design, functionalities and content. The page must provide traffic to the website and should also act as a communication platform. Ultimately, of course, this must be converted into bookings. In addition, reviews on social media are an important point.
Task, deliverable
- Create a Facebook page for your hotel. Make sure the account is publicly visible and make it the page as realistic as possible. Beware to use material that is copy right free!
- Explain exactly which elements you like to have on your FB page and why. Think of the different target groups.
- What would be the goals of your hotel's Facebook page? Be specific and give numbers and measurable elements. How would you measure these goals?
- How do you bring the page to the attention of your target groups?
- How do you ensure that the posts also appear on the timelines of the target groups? Be very specific about this.
- Be sure the page has at least five posts, each with a specific goal.
Assessed elements
- Is the page created and visible?
- Does it reflect the strategy of the hotel?
- Are all the goals clear, measurable and concrete?
- Are the five posts suitable and realistic?
