What are stakeholders?
Stakeholders are all groups which have some kind of interest in your company. The most famous one, of course, will be your target groups.
Most companies have a logical distinction between internal and external stakeholders. The basic element is that stakeholders can affect or be affected by the organization's actions, objectives and policies. Have a look at Wikipedia on this.
But stakeholders can be considered in a broad sense as all kind of different groups with all kind of different stakes, like:
- your staff
- the family and relatives of your staff
- the owners of the hotel or the shareholders
- your suppliers, your bank
- the city, local politics
- your neighbors
- maybe even your competitors, branch organisation etc.
