Step 9/10: Evaluations
The way your activities and hotel results are evaluated depends very much on the competition you are playing, the way things are organized, your tasks and maybe some added assignments. For sure your explanations always plays an important role. You need to calculate and explain all of your decisions; this shows that you, as management of the hotel, really have some insights in the business and all of your choices made are based on serious thought and pre-calculations linked to your strategy. The way you will get our credit points for your study is a different issue: it will be based on your marking bu your coach during the game and maybe some other elements. Your local staff and coaches can inform you on this.
The better your explanations on your decisions are, the more customers you will get; so a higher occupancy rate. So your occupancy rate depends on your decisions AND on your explanations of them AND your other actions (live etc.).
And, don't forget, higher occupancy rate does not automatically means a higher profit! You might be too cheap, fully booked but not making any profit because the costs are not covered by the turnover.
Study credits
Your coaches can inform you over the study credits and how this relates to your performance in this simulation.
