Slideshare linking

Not ideal at this moment, we are working on this.

Live links to Slideshare

You can make a link to http://www.slideshare.net/ : very handy as there are many interesting slideshows over there and you could post one yourself, if applicable.

  • Got to http://www.slideshare.net/ and look for a presentation over there that you want to embed. Not all presentations can be embedded by the way. And if embedded and the presentation is removed, of course, your link in the platform shows a screen saying the presentation no longer exists.

  • Be sure to have the presentation ready to play in Slideshare (not fullscreen). Then on the righthand side is an embed code: copy this one and past it into your team page.

The code is very long and will look like:

<a href="http://www.slideshare.net/kevgibbo/blogging-guide-to-business" title="Blogging Guide To Business">Blogging Guide To Business</a><object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://static.slidesharecdn.com/swf/ssplayer2.swf?doc=bloggingguidetobusiness-100329055234-phpapp02&stripped_title=blogging-guide-to-business" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"/><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"/><embed src="http://static.slidesharecdn.com/swf/ssplayer2.swf?doc=bloggingguidetobusiness-100329055234-phpapp02&stripped_title=blogging-guide-to-business" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
View more <a href="http://www.slideshare.net/">presentations</a> from <a href="http://www.slideshare.net/kevgibbo">Kevin Gibbons</a>.

  • Leave out a lot

You should skip most of the code: look for the words:

- ><embed src=" and skip the beginning of the code and including this.

- this leaves you with something starting with http:// etc. You only use this code until ....

allowfullscreen="true"... You can delete the rest.

So in this case this leaves you with:

http://static.slidesharecdn.com/swf/ssplayer2.swf?doc=bloggingguidetobusiness-100329055234-phpapp02&stripped_title=blogging-guide-to-business

  • Then embed the URL

Add the widget Iframe: it now looks like:

and will be playing!
