Name of assignment
Develop a promo set. A promotional set of give-aways to be distributed to the public. Do not confuse this with the hotels amenities or merchandise (items to be sold).
Situation
Especially at regional events, it is good to be present as a hotel. In the past, the family has always done so. It is nice to give away, at such meetings, promotional items that have a strong link to to the hotel. It brings the hotel to the attention, ensures commitment and eventually, hopefully, more bookings. As the hotel now has a new new and new strategy, there is not a set available yet.
Goal
Promotional give aways should bring the hotel under the attention of the public, create a good feeling and should bring about engagement.
In the end, they should also bring bookings. Jill Jandal has decide that you can spend € 10,000 euros on this, including design and production and the items themselves. Jill Jandal explicitly ask for some creativity in the set.
Task, deliverable
Create a set of promotional items, matching the new name, logo and strategy of the hotel. Decide where to buy them, and how much of each you will buy within the budget given.
Explain which products you chose, make mock-ups of what the main three product look like (or create a moodboard).Try to be creative.
Explain to whom you will give the items and why and where?
Convince Jill Jandal that the money is well spend by explaining what the items will bring the hotel. Try to quantify.
Assessed elements
- Does the set reflect the new strategy?
- Will consumers be interested in the products?
- Are the arguments to convince Jill Jandal strong enough?
- Are all the sources accounted for?
